David Plumb & Co has many years of experience in the controlled demolition of redundant fuel station buildings. When fuel sites need to be demolished for reuse as housing or commercial property, David Plumb & Co can carry out all the neccessary work to demolish existing buildings, remove the debris and level the site ready for redevelopment. Materials are disposed of responsibly, giving due regard to the environment and recycling processes.

This process of demolishing the superstructure is carried out with the minimum of disturbance to neighbours.

A special newsletter is distributed to the site’s neighbours, which sets out exactly what David Plumb & Co is doing, how long it will take, who to contact in the event of a problem and all the measures taken to minimise nuisance and disruption. These include monitoring of sound and vibration levels to ensure they never exceed acceptable levels, the washing of muddy wheels and the watering down of dust.
